I will continue to act even when I become an MP – Salinko

Actors Abraham Davis known in showbiz as Salinko who is seeking to be elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Kwawomang Constituency in the Ashanti region says he will not abandon his acting profession when he becomes an MP.

He said acting is his passion, and so he cannot live without playing key roles in the movie industry. Hence, if he is elected as MP that will not stop him from doing what he does best in the movie industry.

Salinko is contesting to become an MP for the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency in the Ashanti Region on the ticket of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) ahead of the November 7 polls.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Buckman, host of TOP FM’s “entertainment showbiz”, Salinko said he is full of optimism that the constituents will vote for him to become their MP. He said he had engaged in some benevolent activities by donating money in the region of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis for women in labor at the Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and several other hospitals in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.

He added that he has also provided dust bins to help rid the city off filth.

He told Kwame Buckman that he has set up a fan club that is helping secure job placements for the unemployed youth in the region and specifically his constituency.

As a result of all these benevolence, he is full of optimism that he will win the elections to become the MP for the area.
