Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council Vice Chairman Emmanuel Boamah has pleaded with the life patron of the club Otumfour Osei Tutu II to relieve Dr Kwame Kyei off his post.

The former Vice Chairman has blamed the Executive Director for the current woes facing the club.

Asante Kotoko are currently struggling to constitute a Board and may face sanctions from the Ghana FA Club Licensing aboard after failing to meet the deadline.

Dr Kyei’s tenure has also seen the club incur huge losses in compensations to former coaches and some poor transfer decisions.

There have been calls from other sections of the supporters for the Executive Director to be audited.

Emmanuel Boamah is not happy with the management style of the Executive Director and has pleaded for his removal,“I’m not happy with the way Dr Kwame Kyei is managing the team [Asante Kotoko]” he told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

“I will kneel down and plead with Otumfour to take the team from Dr Kwame Kyei within two hours, when I get the opportunity to meet him.

He added:“If we leave Dr. Kyei to manage the club for the next 6 years, he will lead the club to several debts that cannot be paid.

“Unless we go for loan and give it to him [Dr Kwame Kyei] to pay for the club” Mr Boamah ended.
