Singer Phillipa Baafi has made it clear that crafting a song specifically for any political party is not on her agenda.

Nonetheless, she expressed openness to political parties using her existing songs in their campaigns, stating she wouldn't object to such official use of her music.

She conveyed these sentiments in a conversation with TV3.

Having stepped back from the music scene recently, Philipa elaborated,

“If you tell me to do a song I won’t do it. But if the song is there and you want to use it why not? If they want you to do a song they will let you do a song that suits them but I don’t want to do that.

So if I do a song and you think it suits you and you want it that’s okay. It’s like somebody doing an advert and taking one song as cover and you have to give me copyright.”

It can be recalled that Phillipa Baafi's track "Go High" was previously utilized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2008 electoral campaign.
