The Gramophone Records Museum and Research Centre of Ghana located inside the Centre for National Culture in Cape Coast has the mission to preserve Ghana?s intangible heritage. The GRMRC is developing its archival facility to improve the conservation of its unique collection of original recordings of Highlife and traditional music and to offer a better service to the public.
In order to support its activities, the GRMRC is operating a ?Bread & Breakfast? in Cape Coast. This B&B is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood and is managed by Mr. Kwame Sarpong, Director of the GRMRC. Located near the STC bus station and near the crossroad Accra/Takoradi/Cape Coast/Jukwa, the traveler who is looking for affordable accommodation will find a nice and clean house with three bedrooms (double or single occupancy) and two bathrooms available to the occupants.
The rates per night are: ?91000 per person or Euro 8 / US$10

At the crossroad mentioned above, take Jukwa Road North and turn right at the first traffic light (see the sign for the Regional Hospital). The Gramophone Records Museum and Research Centre is opened from 10a.m. to 3p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and a free visit is offered to the B&B clients who are invited to listen to some vintage highlife and traditional music of the 1920's to the mid 1960's.
