Retired civil servant and veteran actor Fred Amugi has advised movie stars to eschew pride.

Quoting German composer and philosopher, Ludwig van Beethoven “If you become a star don’t see yourself, as one and don’t call yourself one’, the Veteran actor affirmed that the moment stars portray signs of arrogance it rather bring them down.

According to him, humility pays so Ghanaian actors/actresses should be modest when they get to the pinnacle of their acting profession since many individuals see them as icons.

“Let others praise you as a star and don’t compliment yourself, the moment you allow pride to set in your career then your downfall also sets in so let humility lead you as a star,” the veteran actor told Obonu TV.

His works include Beasts of No Nation, The Destiny of Lesser Animals, The Cursed Ones, Chronicles of Odumkrom The Headmaster, Pieces of Me, Punctured Hope, In the Eyes of My Husband, M.P. (Madam Pink), Holby City (TV Series), Tuesday’s Child, Welcome Home, The Other Side of the Rich, Filming Africa (Documentary).
