If you don’t know my boyfriend doesn’t suggest I’m Lesbian – Afia defends Ebony

Afia Schwarznegger believes the 'nonsense' of rumors will be stopped with legal suits Afia Schwarznegger believes the 'nonsense' of rumors will be stopped with legal suits

It is completely unacceptable to make outrageous suggestions about someone being a lesbian simply on the basis that you have no idea who the boyfriend of the person is, TV Host Afia Schwarznegger has said in reaction to ‘lesbian’ rumors that have hit the news since her demise.

Afia, during a visit with Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah (Mzbel) to the family of the late act at her father’s residence in Dansoman expressed disgust at the fact that some Ghanaians were spreading ‘offensive’ rumours about the deceased on ridiculous grounds, notable among them is the bit about her being Lesbian because of certain persons she associated with and probably because she never revealed who she was involved with as far as dating and relationships is concerned.

“Someone’s child has died and yet making ridiculous statements. In Ghana, who is my boyfriend? Who knows who my boyfriend is? Who knows who the boyfriend of my friend (Mzbel) is? Who knows the boyfriend of Kaakie? So for the fact that you don’t know who my boyfriend is, I’m lesbian?”, She quizzed.

She recommended legal action against Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Head Pastor and Founder of the True Word Fire Prophetic Ministry over his ‘chronic lesbian’ comments about Ebony.

Prophet Gaisie in an interview with Accra FM hours after Ebony and her entourage died revealed that Ebony was a chronic lesbian, one major reason God’s wrath was unleashed upon her and she died.

“The things I’ll reveal if I’m pushed will be disrespectful to her memory. The Lord told me to caution her about lesbianism, a chronic lesbian and if there is one thing the Lord hates, it is Lesbianism and homosexuality. The Lord told me emphatically to admonish her because his wrath will be descending on her”, he said.

Afia Schwarznegger however believes, it is the right thing for her family to put things in perspective and sue prophet Gaisie and other persons denigrating Ebony’s name as it is the only way her legacy will live on.

“Do this as a testimony so everybody will see it. You can’t use words on my sister like ‘chronic lesbian’, what is chronic about a lesbian? Nigel Gaisie. I have the video there are some of us who want to take legal action, not to talk of family members, what nonsense?”, a visibly angry Afia said.

Ebony courted a lot of controversy with her actions and inactions. She came under criticism for her risqué on-stage acts and suggestive performances

The dancehall diva was pronounced dead at the Bechem Government Hospital after a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway – a few days before she was scheduled to start a European tour.

A military officer and a female acquaintance identified as Francis Atsu Vondee and Frankie respectively, who were also on board the Jeep which clashed with a VIP bus died as well.

The one week observation of her passing is scheduled for today, February 18, 2018 at St. Martin De Porres School, Dansonman.
