GhanaWeb: What is the feeling like coming to Ghana under the Hennessy Artistry bill to rock?
Manny: Incredible, love my Ghanaian crowd and so far it’s been a massive success. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Hennessy and look forward to future collaborations
GhanaWeb: What do you think stood you out to be chosen as the man for the job?
Manny: According to the Hennessy group, they only go for the BEST, their words not mine,( Huge Manny laugh). No, but on a serious note, I am really happy to be affiliated with Hennessy. It’s been a pleasure working with them so far. The art of blending is a perfect relationship. Hennessey artistry is a huge platform that means a lot for me and suits perfectly with my work and they are also very excited about the partnership.
GhanaWeb: How do you see the reception from fans when you were playing back here in Ghana and when you play out there in UK?
Manny: Obviously back in London they are familiar with my work so the reception is fantastic whereas in Ghana I need to prove to them that I am worth it and so far the reception has blown me away.
GhanaWeb: Any fond memories that you take back to UK?
Manny: Ghanaian women are stunning and I love the way my people party!!
GhanaWeb: Do you plan coming back to settle in Ghana and do what you are best known for?
Manny: Ideally I’d like to have a base here, as well as the UK and the US but for now you can get to me through my publicist.
GhanaWeb: As a top notch DJ, you have played alongside top A-list artistes in the world! The question is that which Ghanaian artiste have you listened to and felt like playing over and over again?
Manny: I love the Ghanaian music, it’s in my blood and I am feeling so many artists right now…Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, and Fuse to name a few. To be honest, Fuse is charting in the national charts in the UK has really help the scene and I always make sure I incorporate Ghanaian/Nigerian music ever where in the world.
GhanaWeb: Artist these days just do perishable songs, what's your advice from a DJ point of view?
Manny: A hit is a hit and I will play it for as long as it’s hot.
GhanaWeb: Tell you fans via this medium what you have for them in 2014.
Manny: More great music, more me, more vibes…Check me out in the UK on Capital Xtra Monday to Friday 9am-Midday and Friday nights 11pm till 1am and for the rest watch this space.
