Ghanaian neo-soul vocalist and songwriter, Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, better known in the entertainment circles as Efya has officially been out-doored as the headline artiste for the 2015 Girl Talk Concert.

Succeeding, 'The African Woman' singer Becca after 4 years, an excited Efya told the press that it was a great feeling to headline such a big event especially taking up the mantle from the person she’s looked up to.

"It was a great feeling. This is girl talk you know? It is a good and great show. I watched it from when I was in the university and Becca used to headline it and she is an amazing person, someone I look up to. Now I get to headline the show that I have honoured and looked up to so it is really a great feeling and I am excited about it. I cannot wait to show everybody how good is going to be like”.

Launching the 2015 Girl Talk Fair and Concert, Kiki Banson of EKB Records, said Efya’s energy and attitude on stage convinced his outfit in choosing her as the headline act and the face of the brand for the next 3 years.

She’s performed at various shows both in Ghana and outside including the “Hope City Concert” that had Chris Brown as headline artiste.

She has, in recent months, headlined a number of shows organized by her label. For four consecutive years between, 2009-2013 she won ‘Best Female Vocalist of the Year’ at the Ghana Music Awards.

This year’s 2-day event happening on December 12 and 13 is solely sponsored by Savanna Dry.
