Socialite and songstress, Efia Odo, has said there are no genuine friendships in the entertainment industry. 

According to her, most relationships in the entertainment industry are strictly business and commercial. She explained that the kind of relationship that exists between industry players is that of acquaintances, and business associates, although she agreed that one can make a true friend out of their colleagues.

“I feel like this industry, there’s no friendship in this industry. It’s more about acquaintances, business associates, It’s not really friendship. Maybe one or two people but in reality, it’s always been like what you can do for me and what I can do for you,” Efia Odo said in a report on 3news.com.

The socialite said she has learnt a great deal from trying to establish friendships with colleagues in the entertainment industry.

She said, “What’s the point in faking it? For me, I have people who I am close to and cool with, and after that, we go our separate ways…I think I have also learnt a lot about trying to be friends with people in this industry, but it’s good.”

On the same platform, Efia Odo spoke about her love life and mentioned that despite the many disappointments she had from love relationships, she has not given up on love. 

She said, “It’s not like I have given up on love; right now I am taking my time. Before, I used to wear my heart on my sleeves; now I wear it in my jeans. When I love, it's overwhelming for the wrong person, so I want to really take my time to scope out any guy who says they are interested in me. My name is Efia Odo; I am love, and I give out love. I can’t give up on love, so I am taking it slow.”
