Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has expressed her dream of building a theatre in the future.
During an interview on Onua FM’s Mid-morning Show, Adwuma-Adwuma, hosted by Felicia Osei, she was asked about her thoughts on the inclusion of the creative arts industry in the manifestos of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
While she admitted she wasn’t aware of this, she emphasised that her primary concern is ensuring her personal needs like access to a studio for recording and playing her songs are met.
Empress Gifty further shared her aspiration to establish an ultra-modern theatre when she has the financial means.
She mentioned the possibility of renting it out, using the National Theatre as an example, or collaborating with an investor.
“My dream is to build a theatre one day if I have the money or an investor,” she explained.
