Jackie Appiah honoured in New York

Actress Jackie Appiah among others were hounoured at the Fascinating Africans Committed to Excellence (F.A.C.E) List Awards in New York on June 15 2013. She received recognition for her contribution and excellence in the entertainment industry.

The Ghanaian actress flew into the USA over the weekend to receive a well deserving honour for her excellence in Africa’s Entertainment Industry from the organizers of The F.A.C.E. list Awards.

Other distinguished honourees were the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, Dr. Carlos Lopes, Founder and CEO of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Founder and Publisher of The Network Journal Aziz Adetimirin, Notable Fashion Designer Korto Momolu and Founder of the African Development Foundation George Ntim.

The award ceremony which took place on Saturday-June 15, at New York, Time was established by Face2face Africa in 2011 to acknowledge, celebrate, and honor the outstanding achievements of Africans and friends of Africa who are contributing towards a more dynamic and advanced global community.
