Live FM presenter, Jay Foley, has responded to allegations that he made mockery of award winning teen actor, Abraham Attah’s remarks at the Oscars.
A section of Ghanaians descended on Jay Foley, Joy FM’s Kwame Sakyiamah (Lexis Bill) and Hitz FM’s MzGee for allegedly ridiculing Attah, 15, over a his accent while he presented an award at the 2016 Oscars.
But in a Facebook post, Jay Foley attached an audio of his presentation and denied ever making mockery of the Beasts of No Nation actor.
“Woke up this morning to 1000’s of messages condemning me on about article about me mocking Abraham Attah. Why would I do such a thing. One I thing I stand for from persons close to me is inspiring people to be achievers… I love adore cherish young people who push beyond limits and those who do not have the courage to… Why would I in heavens name “hate, envy,” Abraham Attah?,” portions of his post read.
The ‘Live Breakfast Club’ host apologised to people who might have been offended by his actions although he never intended to mock him as wildly speculated.
“But one thing I learnt in life, in as much as I may have the clearest intentions about my actions, never to hate ABRAHAM, I probably may have been misquoted and misread by friends and fans out there. Sorry…. I apologise,” he stated.
