Jay Q Reinvents Hiplife Music To Hiplife Jazz

Jay Q, the jama beat player, may look like an overnight celebrity to some, but his rise to stardom has been years in the making. Through his collaborative friendship with Ghanaian musicians, he has been able to create a masterpiece jazz album, dubbed ?Memories of Jay Q?.

His saxophone, drums and keyboard is the centerpiece of the new smash album.

Having established himself as an accomplished and respected icon in the Ghanaian music industry, Jay Q decided to record a full hiplife jazz just to change the music industry to which critics are even bowing to.

Soon after finishing the album, he has drawn attention from the UK and America a lot.

The young talented producer developed love for the hiplife jazz after he was asked on Radio Gold what he will be doing for hiplife music since he also saw the birth of it, 10 years ago.

Jay Q worked with some songs of local artistes like Kwabena Kwabena?s ?Asor?, Castro?s ?Toffee?, ?Sixteen Years? by Mzbel, ?African Woman? by Kokovelli, ?Na who? by Dr. Poh, ?Me so daye? by Obour, ?Obaa sweetie?, Ahomka womu, and ?My Love? by VIP, ?Linda? and ?Gyae shi? by Samini, Kontihene?s ?Esi?, ?Yahooya? by Mad Fish, songs by Ofori Amponsah and more on this album.

To him, his preferred tune is ?Gyae Shi" by Samini.

His recent visit to the UK, has had his hiplife jazz played in nite clubs that don?t play jazz and has made it more demanding more.

Lately, Jay Q has been working hard in the studio creating some new albums for artistes as he has changed so many things about his works which will take people by storm.
