The first thing that comes to mind about Africa is home because that was where it all started from so it?s really an overwhelming experience?.

Jay Z will arrive in Ghana in his private jet with his 30 man crew on October 4 inclusive his boys from Rocca Wear and Def Jam Records. As part of his pilgrimage, he will be commissioning some projects on behalf of the UN across Africa and in Ghana.
The Accra International Conference Centre is expected to be thronged on October 6 by tons of music lovers who will witness the best of Jay Z and his star musician lover Beyonce.
Sharing the international stage with Jay Z are some of Ghana?s best artistes; Mobo award winner Batman Samini, Reggie Rockstone, Obrafuo, Wutah, Ofori Amponsah and Irene & Jane of Stars of the Future.
Charterhouse, organizers of the show, says Jay Z will use the tour, which he calls ?the African pilgrimage? to learn as much as possible about the continent. He will also look into the possibility of collaborating with some local artistes. ?Based on discussions Charterhouse had with his record label [Def Jam records], he intends to unearth some talents whiles in Ghana,? says Chris Attoh.

Meanwhile, Charterhouse is partnering with the mobile content provider, Mobistar, to run a competition which will make it possible for some 300 people to watch the Jay Z concert on Friday night for free and get some photo opportunities with the super star.
