Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ojani Noa is pointing fingers at Sean “Diddy” Combs for playing a part in their divorce. Per Page Six, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer and Noa was married from 1997 to 1998 before she and Combs dated from 1999 to 2001.

Noa touched on their separation during an interview on Despierta America. He claimed “part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault” when he was asked about it.

“When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy [Combs], who was going to be one of the producers of several tracks on the first album ‘On The 6,’” he reportedly said in Spanish. “That’s where the deception, the lies, the separation started.”

He added: “I was in Los Angeles opening my restaurant and she was between Miami and New York working on the album.” “When I could, I would go to be with her. There, in that distance, in that separation, was where the deception started,” he claimed.

Noa in the interview also touched on the effects of their divorce, claiming that it negatively impacted his career and opportunities to land multiple jobs. “I would ask Jennifer, ‘What did I do to you so that you have taken me to court, you have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work?’” he said.

“Why, if I have not done anything to you? Let her tell the truth, let her tell everything that happened,” he said.

Besides Noa, Lopez, 54, was also married to choreographer Cris Judd and singer Marc Anthony. In 2022, the All I Have singer married actor Ben Affleck after they rekindled their relationship. But they are currently in the middle of a divorce.

Combs, on the other hand, is currently battling several legal issues. The 54-year-old music executive was arrested by federal agents on September 16 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Combs, who entered a not-guilty plea, is being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His trial date has been set for May 5, 2025. But the Bad Boy Records founder is additionally facing multiple sexual assault lawsuits.

The embattled music executive’s recent legal woes started after CNN shared a video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. The rapper and music executive had initially denied allegations of rape and abuse from Cassie. But he later issued an apology on social media after the circulation of the video.

Cassie, 38, initially filed a lawsuit in New York federal court alleging that Combs brought her into his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle” after she met him. The lawsuit further alleged that Combs was “prone to uncontrollable rage” and physically abused her during their relationship including punching, beating, kicking, and stomping on her.

It alleged that Combs urged Cassie to use drugs and forced her to have sex with other men while he masturbated and filmed. The lawsuit was later dismissed after both parties reached an undisclosed settlement.
