Jmartins, Selebobo and others rock Tamale

The Tamale Sports Stadium came alive on Saturday night with the City Invasion concert which lined up some of the hottest Nigerian and Ghanaian musicians for the pleasure of the people of Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana.

Nigeria’s JMartins and Selebobo, who were in Tamale for the first time gave sterling performances of their hit songs that received an amazing response from the equally amazing crowd, made up of mainly the youth.

Both musicians were thrilled to be in Tamale and they thanked the people of Tamale for welcoming them to their city.

The sexy femcee, Itz Tiffany who was also performing in Tamale for the first time was more than happy to be in the city, as she received a thrilling approval from the crowd. Bisa K’Dei also wowed the crowd with his hits such as ‘Metamfo’ and ‘Give To Baba’, as the crowd sang along.

Also performing on the night were some popular artists from Tamale including Kawa Stone and comedian, actor and musician Umaru.

The show was kicked off with performances by several up and coming artists from the region. The concert was hosted by one of Tamale’s finest MCs, DJ Carlos of Filla FM with mixes by DJ Mynor (Apawahene) of Hitz FM.

City Invasion is an event put together by NMJ Ghana and according to, Akosua Agyemang, Event Manager of NMJ: “City invasion is a new concept organized by my outfit to bring quality entertainment to everyone especially people outside Accra. Most shows are based in Accra which in my opinion deprives most regions some level of quality entertainment”

She indicated that NMJ Ghana through the City Invasion concept will organize events throughout the various regions quarterly.

The event in Tamale sought to bring together all three northern regions during this festive season to entertain and to serve as a platform for uniting the three regions.
