MTN Ghana’s annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is set to take place on December 20, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre. The event, which has become a significant feature of Ghana’s festive calendar, promises a night of music, storytelling, and cultural celebration.

This year’s edition will feature performances from some of Ghana’s celebrated artistes, including gospel sensation Joe Mettle, Perez Musik, soulful vocalist Efya, and highlife and afrobeats star KiDi. Traditional music group Kwan Pa will also deliver their signature live performances infused with African rhythms.

With the theme “An Afrocentric Christmas,” the event will highlight the values of peace, love, joy, and togetherness. It aims to fuse the traditional Christmas experience with Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, offering renditions of classic carols alongside modern African musical elements.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will incorporate inspirational readings and performances, designed to inspire hope, gratitude, and reflection during the holiday season. The blend of music and messages resonates with both the spiritual and celebratory aspects of Christmas.

The event, now a hallmark of the Christmas season in Ghana, has grown in popularity over the years, drawing participation from the general public and key stakeholders alike. Its combination of tradition and contemporary creativity continues to set the tone for a vibrant and culturally relevant festive season.

The Grand Arena’s setting is expected to provide an elegant backdrop for this year’s celebration, which will showcase not just musical excellence but also Ghana’s cultural diversity. The event remains a platform for fostering community and unity through the power of music and storytelling during the festive season.
