The Debate of having the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture launch an Agya Koo Television, got many Ghanaians talking on various platforms.

However, on Sunday, February 4, 2018, the Ministry Of Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Partnership with 2C Television finally unveiled the much awaited AgyaKoo Television at the Accra Mall.

The likes of Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Lil Win, Jackie Appiah and many others are yet to be on the platform, she answered an quickly lashed the public for looking at the whole process as a political game.

According to the Minister, there was a research conducted into the selection of Creative persons, who will get on to the 2C Television platform, and as its stands, Agya Koo leads and command a higher following on social media when it comes to male actors in Ghana.

“John Dumelo will be on 2C Television platform when his time is up and the Ministry will see to that.

“Adding up to social media following, we at the Ministry is looking at putting content of local and talented actors, actresses and musicians on the platform for more people in our local and rural areas to enjoy as well.

“People in my village don’t know John Dumelo but loves the works of Agya Koo” and as it stands the channel as received 5,000 subscribers in six weeks and I think it’s a step in the right direction.” The Minister added.
