John Dumelo nears his waterloo as secret tapes arrive from Mozambique

There appears to be no end in sight to the woes of embattled Ghanaian actor John Dumelo.

He’s been caught in another complexity, which has the potential of derailing the gains made over the years as an actor, philanthropist and entrepreneur. It’s not looking good.

Fresh from battling his way out of a supposed on-off ‘fake’ marriage with Harrina Dembele, a US-based model, actress and nurse, details – and they are very fresh – are emerging from the camp of investigative Ghanaian journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas that paints a not-so-good look.

On Thursday evening, the award-winning journalist took to his Facebook page to post what was a ‘warning’ – of a sort – to get the actor to solve issues surrounding a current complexity he’s involved in with a Mozambican lady.

“I am arriving from Mozambique soon, work has been concluded, you would see the thrills. Somebody should be whispering into John Dumelo’s ears that whereas it is a fantastic idea to own a clothing line, it is not ideal to do that at the expense of a three month old baby and the mum,” he said. “I may be forced to release some audio tapes on him on the saga. It is not fair to reap where you have not sown. If the matter is not put to rest in two weeks, i would release them for people to make their own judgement on the Australian issue”.

Anas’ comment thread buzzed with a lot of activity almost immediately as some called for him to release the tapes while others said they were disappointed he’s giving the actor an ultimatum to come clean.

“Anas am disappointed by ur words 2nite why bcos of u some pple have been named, shamed, lost their jobs, prosecuted etc but in John Dumelo’s case u want 2 comprise ur stand & settle de case dis is not JUSTICE,” a follower commented, ostensibly to get him to rescind his decision of granting the actor some favour.

As things stand, it appears with or without Anas releasing the tapes, some substantial damage may have been caused, as Dumelo will have to spend the next few days in explaining himself over and over again, over a subject matter not too different from the Harrina-Dumelo-gate.

The actor, who was last captured by enewsgh.com lenses during the launch of the Ghana Meets Naija concert at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, is yet to publicly respond to Anas’ claims.

But given Anas’ credibility over the years a name and shame journalist, it remains to be seen if Dumelo has an entirely different story to tell away from Anas’ version.

“I don’t have time for any confrontation. I’m busy working on my clothing line to go global as well as my other businesses,” he said, in one of his responses on the Harina issue.

He certainly has his work over the next few days cut out for him by Anas; it is that simple, fix it or find yourself wanting.
