Josh Laryea Music Consult Launched

The Josh Laryea Music Consult was last Monday launched at a simple but impressive ceremony at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, in Accra.

Objectives of the JLM among other things to evangelise through music, bring direction and vision to the gospel music industry in Ghana and to raise the standard of true worship in the local churches and beyond.

Addressing quests and the press at the launch, Pastor Josh Laryea an evangelist and award-winning gospel musician said he was moved to set up the JLM to answer some questions that were agitating the minds of both Christians and non-Christians alike.

Using three main units that is, evangelising through music, modelling structures for music departments and mentoring, managing and producing gospel artistes, the JLM intends to affect the gospel industry in a very positive way.

He mentioned therefore that he has a board of patrons chaired by Dr Mensa Otabil, of the International Central Gospel Church with Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, General Overseer of the Royal House Chapel International as his vice.

Other members of the board are Dr Ebenezer Markwei, General Overseer, Living Streams Ministries International, Bishop George Agyeman, General Overseer, Winners Chapel, Ghana, Rev Tetteh Djangmah, General Overseer, True Vine Charismatic Church, Madam Joyce Aryee, CEO Ghana Chamber of Mines, Mr John D. Otoo of Capital O2.

Bishop Agyemang Launched the JLM, in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. In his address, Rev Korankye Ankrah congratulated Josh for being able to bring together the heads of some of the leading churches in the capital.

According to him it was not easy to get them together to work this close and noted that church leaders are afraid to come together to support ventures like evangelism because most pastors are afraid their members may be won over by other leaders.

Rev Ankrah believed that now is the time for leaders to follow the messianic dispensation to win more souls for God.

In her message to the gathering, Auntie Joyce, said that music is mostly thought of in terms of entertainment however music touches our spirits and does more than we realise.

?Supporting this venture is doing God?s will. It is therefore my prayer that Josh will remain focused , let go of all other things so that God himself who has charged him will be behind him all the way?.

Mr John D. Otoo CEO of Capital O2 on the other hand mentioned that challenges he went through made him fall in love with Pastor Laryea?s song Overcomer.

And since they struck an acquaintance, they have been working together. Rev Dr Markwei on the other hand noted that, the musicians who are making it are those who are attached to people ?who speak into their lives.

He also congratulated Josh for his vision and wish to uplift mankind through the use of music and hoped that musicians, the heartbeat of God will continue to be of service to Him.

Ike Donkor a gospel musician was on hand to perform some soul-inspiring songs for the occasion.
