Gospel musician, Pastor Lenny Akpadie is unenthused by the attention the media is giving dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
The 2008 Ghana Music Awards Most popular song of the year recipient in an interview on Kasapa Entertainment indicated that Shatta Wale goes berserk just to create a buzz around himself and is motivated by the fact that the media will help him achieve his aim.
“I want to put on record that journalists are giving Shatta Wale too much leverage,” he said.
Shatta Wale while performing on stage outside the shores of Ghana on Friday November 16, 2018 described the country as a village.
He said: “I just wanna share that word with you. Shatta Wale is a very nice guy. All that you keep reading about me on google from Ghana…Ghana is a village, say village, village.”
The statement engendered controversy as a section of the populace criticized him while others said the statement was rather harmless.
Pastor Lenny Akpadie responding to Shatta Wale’s ‘village’ tag on Ghana said the comment was highly unwarranted.
“If Ghana is a village then you’re a villager. Ghana as a whole is divided into regions and he comes from one of the regions because the regions are also divided into districts and constituencies. If he says regions are below village level then when it gets to his [Shatta Wale] hometown, it may be a hole,” he jabbed.
