Lights, Camera, Action: All cameras will be on the group Wutah who have bagged 11 nominations in the upcoming 7th Ghana Music Awards Festival 2006.
The story line everyone thought we would be reading will be a hiplife or contemporary highlife artiste being among the top nominations, but in the end it was won over by a charismatic pair of raglife / hiplife artistes prodigies, Wutah.
Ghana Music.com asked them if they were going to sweep all the categories they where nominated for, "We are looking forward to win most awards but for now we can't say much", PV aka Rasta answered.
"We feel good about the nominations. Everything is going on well for us plus this nominations," Sugar Risky said.
The secret to Wutah's success formally known as Ojah (a name they coined when they contested in the first edition of the Nescafe African Revelations to which they came second to Praye) is that they create good music and that is what has kept them going on.
Their album, ?Anamontuo? with songs like 'Adonko', 'Gossy Gander' and 'Big Dreams' earned them eleven nominations for ?The Most Popular Song of the Year?, ?Album Of the Year?, ?Artiste of the Year?, ?Best Male Vocal Performance?, ?Hiplife Song of the Year, ?Hiplife Album of the Year?, ?New Hiplife Artiste of the Year?, ?Hiplife Artiste of the Year?, ?New Artiste of the Year?, ?Song writer of the Year? and ?Reggae song of the Year?.
Before ending the interview, they couldn't leave their fans out and said "We couldn't have made it this far without you supporting us".
For now they are enjoying massive airplay with Appietus compilation song titled, 'Change Your Style', and they want to assure their fans that they will be coming out soon.
Wutah's achievements will climax on the Ghanaian music industry if they are able to pull a surprise on the nite of the Public awards ceremony by sweeping most awards.
