The host of Entertainment Review on Peace FM, Kwasi Aboagye, has debunked comments by Abusua Panyin Judas that he together with the late Bob Santo helped Osei Kwame Despite to establish Peace FM but he has been neglected by the former music distributor.
In a Facebook post, Kwasi Aboagye described Judas’ comment as "palpable lies" and "false misrepresentation".
He added, “ Kwami who was with Radio Gold and only joined us almost about two years after the birth of Peace FM was amongst the persons who decided on the name Peace FM...come on Judas Iscariot!”
Judas in a recent interview with Kwaku Manu from his hideout in the United States, expressed his disappointment in the CEO of Despite Media whom he had helped in the past but who had forgotten about him when things worked out for him.
He said, "We were those who made Peace FM, Peace FM. Even before the station was named, I was part of it. Santo was part of it. Kwami Sefa Kayi and Maame Afia Konadu were standing there as well. We stood under a tree to discuss the name that should be given to the station...I am sad. Humans are ungrateful. It saddens me."
“At the time, we recorded some of the jingles for the station which is still being played today...I’ve been neglected... Despite and I know each other very well… he wasn’t having all this media conglomerate... we used to go to his shop at Makola,” Judas added.
Santo and Judas rose to fame with Keysoap Concert Party about 25 years ago. They were household names who entertained Ghanaians with their God-given talents in theatre and movie production.
