Renowned Gospel artist Obaapa Christy has shared her thoughts on the existence of 'Juju' in the creative arts industry.
In an interview with Acrra-based Hitz FM on August 21, 2024, Obaapa Christy said she believes that 'Juju' exists but only affects those who engage in it.
"There is a quote in the bible that a thousand will fall at our right side, and ten thousand at our left, but we will not be harmed. We will only witness with our eyes the punishment of the evil one. And so we reap what we sow; if you sow evil, evil is what you will reap.
"So yes, I think it (juju) exists, but it locates those who engage in it. If you do good, good will lead you, and if you do evil, evil will follow you," she said.
According to her, for those who love God, no form of 'Juju' or evil will succeed against them.
"But for those who love God, nothing targeted at you will work, no matter the Juju or whatever.
"You just rely on God, put your mind on God. he will not allow bad things to happen to his children," she asserted.
Her comments come on the back of widescale discussions over the prevalence of spiritual attacks in the creative arts industry.
Many industry personalities, including actress Portia Asare, Kwaku Manu, and Wendy Shay, among others, have commented on the existence of 'juju' in the industry.
