Today March 12, 2015 is World Kidney Day and to join in the global health awareness campaign which is focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems, Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim is leading a walk through the major streets of Ghana’s capital Accra.
Juliet who has passionately spoken about the need for people to be more conscious of the disease and its symptoms revealed on the Morning Starr with Kafui Dey she had two aunties who died as a result of their Kidney failing them.
World Kidney Day is observed annually on the 2nd Thursday in March and is recorded as one of the fastest growing illnesses in the UK and, contrary to popular belief, it can’t be cured, only treated.
