KOD promotes road safety

Ghanaian broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), has gathered courage to do what many accident victims wouldn’t want to - relive his near-fatal experience on the N1 high in Accra, Ghana after he drove into a parked articulated track and narrowly escaped death.

Exactly one week after the deathly experience, the Nineteen57 designer together with his wife visited the dump base where his damaged vehicle was hauled to and he said he still has God to thank for his life as he advocates for best road practices.

He shared a new photo of the damaged vehicle [main photo] with his Instagram fans with the caption:

“This morning, I went to see for the first time this wreckage since I had the accident.

I didn't want to post it but thought we could all learn a thing or two from my it: Always remember God's presence in your life and His power to deliver you from the worst of situations.

Be generous! Give unconditionally and always be there for other people. That includes praying for those you don't even know you, your enemies and those in distress.

Go easy on the roads because there are a lot of stupid/ mad/ reckless/ irresponsible drivers out there.

Never go without your seat belt, and make sure everyone is wearing one; that saved me too. Finally, reduce that speed, it makes it easier to maneuver or take quick decisions in case of the unexpected.

God bless us all. Enjoy your day. Don't Hate, Appreciate!”
