Celebrities campaigning for political parties during election period is not new to Ghanaians.

Many entertainers have come public to announce their support for the ruling government, National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama.

Michael Kwaku Ola who is doing all he can to make the president retain his power after this year’s election has accused musician and movie producer, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah of working against the goals of president Mahama ahead of this year’s general election.

Ola in an interview accused him of producing a movie titled “Enko Yie” aimed at rubbishing the works of the president in his first term.

Speaking on Peace FM’s entertainment show, he told Kwasi Aboagye, host of the show that Kaakyire has said on many radio stations that he shot the movie based on hardship in the country. When asked why he would relate the movie title “Enko Yie” to politics, he answered that he knows the party the movie producer supports hence his conclusion that the movie is aimed at campaigning against the sitting president.

Ola revealed that “he is an NPP guy”. Kaakyire Kwame Appiah on the same show expressed shock over the allegation Ola leveled against.
