The second edition of ‘Indomie Gifted and Talented Festival’ (INDOMIE GIFTAFEST) will take place on November 8, this year at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra.
The talent hunt has the objective to unearth creative talents in pupils and students aged between 7 and 14 years through various performances such as contemporary and traditional music and dance, drama, dance-theatre, poetry and others.
Two participants from each of the over hundred schools targeted are expected to participate in the competition under the theme Shaping Talents.
A statement issued and signed by Mr Nathaniel Ekow Morrison, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Multimedia Consult, organisers of the event said INDOMIE GIFTAFEST would inspire, motivate, challenge and invigorate the talents, educational and entertainment experience of participants.
He explained that drama, dramatized poetry, singing, rap, dance, formation dance, cultural display, playing of instruments, choreography display, drumming/drum appellation among others would be performed.
He stated that the representative of schools would perform only two of the above listed activities that they can do best. He stated that this year’s event dubbed ‘Indomie Giftafest’ would feature comedian Kalybos (The only Bos with one ‘s’) and other talented personalities.
Mr Morrison said side attractions would include Indomie bazaar, photo bazaar with Kalybos, bouncy castle, trampoline, face painting, dance party, musical show, comedy and lucky dip.
He explained that winners would receive prizes including stationery, products and souvenirs from sponsors.
Indomie Instant Noodles is the headline sponsor of this year’s event and supported by Global Multimedia Consult.
Indomie Giftafest is predominantly an outdoor talents festival designed for school children to improve extra curriculum activities.
The participants perform as well as have the opportunity to see others perform, meet, socialize and celebrate their involvement in children’s talented programmes.
