Ghanaian comedian Richard Asante, popularly known as Kalybos, is expected to lead Ghanaian celebrities on a peace campaign to create awareness on the need for peace and unity in the lead-up to the November 7 general elections.
In an interview with Class News, Kalybos said he hoped to use the power of entertainment to sensitise Ghanaians on maintaining peace before, during, and after the elections.
“I am looking at working with some of the celebrities in Ghana, especially to channel this peace tour for this election year. No one said it is going to be an easy one, but we are hopeful for a peaceful election,” he stated.
“So, I am open for campaigns, which will channel the motive of peaceful elections throughout the year. … Entertainment always brings people together, so it might be in a form of a peace concert, but I am open for ideas to channel the peace campaign,” he noted.
