Kate was the first model to step on the runway to outdoor the collaborated designs by South Africa’s iconic designers, Marianne Fassler and Quamta.

Like other models for the evening, she did extremely well. However, their unique modelling prowess made the event a beautiful one as there were also amazing dresses to compliment the ceremony, which had a lot of patrons dressed in black.

Ghanaian designer, Nana Brenu and Ugandan designer Adele Dejak also displayed some unique styles. Other designers included Missiba and Laurence Airline, Taibo Bacar and Pichulik, Projecto Mental and Rift Valley leather designers.

Earlier, on Wednesday, another top African designer, Gavin Rajah paraded his spring/summer new collection dubbed ‘From Behind The Veil’.

He told journalists that, “the collection was inspired by the strength of female characters that have ruled from the behind the veil.”

His collection communicates a strong metaphor of modern women who assert their presence, their voice and style in a world in which they are often stifled.

At the fashion event on Wednesday afternoon, he dedicated the fashion show to Rajah Muse, his best friend and the sister he never had.
