Ghanaian dance duo, Abigail and Afronitaaa, captured the hearts of many and brought joy to their homeland by representing Ghana's culture at the 2024 Britain's Got Talent show, securing third place.

Throughout the competition, from auditions to the final stage, Abigail and Afronitaaa donned attire featuring the colors of the Ghanaian flag or elements of the local kente cloth, complemented by performances to indigenous music.

Their exceptional display at BGT and their ability to showcase Ghana's culture on an international platform are indeed commendable.

Audition performance



Since February 2024, anticipation has been building among Ghanaians for the performance of Afronitaaa and Abigail, following their audition for Britain's Got Talent.

The awaited episode finally aired, showcasing the 20-year-old mentor and her 9-year-old protégé.

Adorned in vibrant yellow shirts and black pants with kente accents, Afronitaaa proudly held the Ghanaian flag as the audience cheered them on.

Afronitaaa introduced the duo, sharing the inspiring story of young Abigail, a hearing-impaired girl with a profound love for dance, captivating judges and spectators alike.

Semi-final performance



Abigail and Afronitaaa delivered a dynamic performance during the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent 2024.

The duo's performance wowed the audience and judges, demonstrating their remarkable talent and cultural pride.

They danced to a medley of popular songs, including Fuse ODG's "Azonto," Beyoncé's "Run The World," and Toofan's "Gweta," showcasing their energetic and versatile dance moves.

Afronitaaa and Abigail appeared on stage in beautiful red attire, embellished with the colors of the Ghanaian flag.

Grand finale performance



Advancing to the grand finale of BGT 2024, Afronitaaa and Abigail delivered an exceptional performance.

Dressed in their signature colorful kente outfits, they began their routine to resounding cheers from the audience and judges.

They performed to tracks by Ghana's Reggie 'n' Bollie and Fuse ODG, concluding their act to a standing ovation and high praise from all four judges.

Afronitaaa and Abigail were ultimately named the third-best act of Britain's Got Talent 2024. Despite a mesmerizing dance performance on Sunday, June 2, 2024, they narrowly missed the £250,000 prize money.

They were outperformed by Jack Rhodes, the runner-up, and Sydine Christmas, who claimed the prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

The narrative of Afronitaaa and her protégé, Abigail, has touched the hearts of the BGT audience and judges since their audition.

Abigail's ability to dance in harmony with Afronitaaa, despite her hearing impairment, earned the duo accolades throughout the contest.

Prominent figures such as NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, Sam George, Bola Ray, and Fifi Kwetey were among those who congratulated them for making the nation proud through their cultural representation.
