Kidnapping: Popular skitmaker Sabinus pays ransom for father's release in Nigeria

Popular skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, also known as Sabinus, has revealed details about his father's recent abduction in Rivers State.

Per sources, his father was kidnapped from their home in Port Harcourt by armed men, leading to a deadly clash with local security forces that resulted in the death of an officer.

Taking to his private Facebook page, Sabinus confirmed that a ransom was paid for his father's safe release. He expressed gratitude for being able to secure the ransom, though he did not disclose the amount paid.

In a post written in pidgin English, he shared, "Kidnappers wey go carry my papa still fit watch my video dey laugh. This life sha. But we bless God for providing unless how I wan pay the ransom by now. E for be sorry I for dey hear. Thank you, Lord."

Sabinus, also recognized as Mr. Funny, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry, appearing in notable Nollywood films like "Billionaire’s Bride," "Man of War," and "Dead Serious." He was honored as Best Online Content Creator at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2022.
