Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats star King Promise has announced a comprehensive world tour to promote his newly released third studio album, “True to Self.”
The tour will commence on 3 August in New York City and will take King Promise to 12 cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia over the next few months.
The “True to Self” world tour itinerary includes stops in Detroit, Bruges, Stockholm, Tokyo, Gold Coast, Gothenburg, Vienna, Hamburg, Paris, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam.
King Promise will perform at major music festivals such as Afro Nation and GhanaFest, in addition to headlining shows at more intimate venues.
“True to Self,” released on 14 June, showcases King Promise’s evolution as an artiste, delving into deeper emotional territories.
The 12-track album features intimate songwriting inspired by real-life experiences with love and relationships.
Standout tracks include “Terminator,” “Paris,” and “Perfect Combi,” which were released ahead of the album.
King Promise collaborated with notable artistes such as Sarkodie, OliveTheBoy, Shallipopi, Fridayy, and BEAM on “True to Self,” each adding unique elements to the project.
In a recent interview with Apple Music, King Promise discussed the album’s title, emphasising the importance of being true to oneself and balancing his authentic Ghanaian sound with his broader artistic vision.
He also provided in-depth insights into the background of each track and collaboration.
