At the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards held on June 1, 2024, King Promise secured three awards, including Best Afropop Song of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year.
King Promise had stated in earlier interviews that he would be surprised if he didn't win the most coveted award for the night, the Artiste of the Year.
Several supporters, including Efia Odo and other celebrities, were rooting for him to secure the esteemed award.
However, Stonebwoy's achievements over the past year ultimately earned him the top honour.
Despite the setback, King Promise took to social media to congratulate Stonebwoy on his win.
In a post on his X handle, King Promise wrote, "Congratulations Stonebwoy."
In a subsequent post, King Promise expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering encouragement and teased the upcoming release of his new album, ‘True to Self’, set to debut in a fortnight.
"Three awards on the night, wow, guys. Thank you for allowing me to be true to myself and make music that I love, and you still love and support me. THANK YOU," he shared.
