The venue for the Kingdom World Tour 2024 event in Accra, Ghana, has been changed.

Initially, the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East, Teshie Rasta Road, was announced for the anticipated event. However, the First Love Centre, UPSA, Legon, Accra, has replaced it. Doors will open at 5 PM.

The venue change, according to organizers Culture Management Group (CMG) Gospel and Faith Collective, was "due to an unfortunate turn of events."

"The disruption stems from a sudden and unexpected increase in the venue price," they explained. "Unfortunately, only 24 hours before showtime, the venue's management increased the rental price by more than 80%."

CMG Gospel noted they were "shocked and deeply disappointed by this change in plans by the management of ICGC Christ Temple East," adding that "this sudden increase in cost has caused unnecessary complications for all involved."

CMG Gospel apologized for any inconvenience caused by the last-minute change in venue.

American gospel singer, songwriter, and producer Kirk Franklin, together with the award-winning American contemporary worship music group Maverick City Music, will perform as part of the Kingdom World Tour 2024.

The ‘Stomp’ hitmaker, whose story continues to inspire even the younger generation today, is credited with revolutionizing the appeal of gospel music in the 1990s. Franklin created music that captivated young people, leading them to embrace the gospel genre in ways that departed from traditional sounds.

Maverick City Music, the group that started in 2018, has continued to gain international repute due to some of their famous hit songs such as ‘Promises’, ‘Man Of Your Word’, and ‘Jireh’, done in collaboration with Steven Furtick’s Elevation Worship.

Since 2020, Maverick City Music has become a big deal, with their songs enjoying massive popularity globally. One of the key things that has made the group unique is their insistence on charting their own path and finding a unique niche that would remain relevant even to the younger generation.
