Somewhere in February this year, movie producer and director Kofi Asamoah popularly called Kofas had a press conference and announced to the world his new production.

Title for the film Kofas Media jointly produced with Miracle Wave International was not disclosed when the media men were invited to the event.

Few weeks to the premiere of the movie which happened on Easter Saturday, the production houses announced the title of the new project as “John and John”. Move lovers started to talk about the film, which has almost all the big stars in Ghana featured in it.

On Easter Saturday, many Ghanaians thronged to the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall and Westhills Mall to watch the first showing of the much-publicized movie, John and John.

After sitting for minutes to watch the new movie, we realised that it is a remake of South African movie Skeem released on October 9, 2011.

Producers of the new film, John and John did a perfect job with this new production even though it is a rejigger of Skeem.

Kofi Asamoah did his best to make the movie suit the Ghanaian society for the public to associate with the movie.

Kofas Media this year broke the box office again. The crowd who purchased tickets to watch the movie was unheard of.

The production house, Kofas Media for the past year has had successful premieres across the country and this new film, “John and John”did not ignominy him. Ghanaians who were at the first, second and third showing of the premiere took to social media platforms to congratulate producers, cast and crew of the film.

“John and John” movie features Pete Edochie from Nigeria, Liwin, Kalybos, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Joselyn Dumas, KSM, Ahuofe Patri, Bishop Bernard Nyarko, Selly Galley, Salma Mumin, John Dumelo, Abeiku Santana, Gracey Nortey, Grace Omaboe, Moesha Bodoung, Fella Makafui, Roselyn Ngissah, James Gardiner and Umar Krupp.
