Ghanaian hiplife artiste Kofi Kinata says he believes musician Castro will return soon. Today marks two years since Castro disappeared mysteriously with a lady friend, Janet Bandu, during a jet-ski ride at Aqua Safari, a beach resort at Ada in the Greater Accra Region.

Castro’s disappearance on July 6, 2014 has kept the nation wondering what might have happened to the hip-life artiste and his lady friend. While some people believe that Castro is dead, snippets of information gathered from family members and friends of the hip-life musician indicate that all might not be lost after all.

Speaking exclusively to 3news.com, the ‘Susuka’ hitmaker said he was very sure Castro would return one day. “I know he is still alive and will definitely come back and join all of us to continue from where he left off. “Castro is like a brother to me and working with him has added a lot to my career as a musician.

“I always pray for him and I know he will return soon”. A call from Castro He said in 2015 when he was celebrating his birthday, a call came through and the voice sounded like Castro’s. “I didn’t finish talking to him and the line dropped.”

He continued that the same call came through in 2016. to wish him a happy birthday. “And for the second time, I couldn’t finish talking to him when the line dropped.” Asked why he did not save the number or call back, Kinata said he had many calls from unfamiliar numbers that day.

According to him, the caller used a jargon known to only him and Castro before he delivered the birthday message. “Anytime he called me before he disappeared, he said certain things for me to laugh and with this person who called, he said same thing. I can’t tell if it’s him but I don’t believe it’s him”.
