Kofi Of Mentor Fame Plans Secret Wedding

Winner of ‘The Battle’ and second runner-up of TV3’s music reality show ‘Mentor II’ Kofi, will, from Saturday February 27, no longer be referred to as a bachelor as he is taking his lover, whose name was only given as Sylvia, to the altar to tie the nuptial knot.

Even though the wedding was publicly announced on TV3’s Music Music last Saturday by hostess Jozzy, the young man who fellowships with Sam Korankye Ankrah’s Royal House chapel, is keeping it on a low profile. The reasons are not yet known, as some are beginning to wonder why Kofi wants a clandestine marriage ceremony.

Rife indications are that the musician, who once expressed enthusiasm to go into acting, doesn’t want to make noise about his marriage now, but rather intends to ‘blow the horn’ after Saturday when he would have formally finished with the ceremony.

He will thus not disclose the venue and time of the wedding, making them known only to invited guests. Kofi’s secret marriage will be the third of such this year, after hip-lifer Castro De Destroyer held his a few weeks ago in Swedru, and Batman Samini’s recent engagement with his long-term girlfriend and the mother of his 6-month-old baby, Mercy Geker.

Kofi, late January, launched a gospel album titled ‘Me Nsa Aka’. As is expected, most of the songs on his album preach the gospel of God, including salvation and divine promises for mankind. The wedding is expected to be another successful move in his life. Kofi’s music career began years ago but his name became a household one soon after his exit from ‘Mentor II’.

He then entered the ‘Mentor Who is Who Battle’, and was crowned the winner. Since then, the young crusader of the gospel has not looked back. TV3 once quoted him as saying he takes inspirations from biblical quotations in writing his songs. News-One
