Kontihene Beats Up Reporter

Not even the most professional of pugilist could predict that Kontihene, one of the well known hiplife stars in Ghana would throw a blow at a poor X-Ghana Billboard reporter.

Like a Hollywood action movie star, Kontihene charged at the X-Ghana Billboard reporter; Theophilous Kpeli, after he inquired what Konti thinks about Kwaw Kese?s hit track ?oye nonsense?. Theo was almost beaten to pieces at the Hush Hush Studios by the Ghana Music Award, song of the winner.

The recording engineer on duty was Jango. He confirmed hearing shouts and screams behind between Kontihene and Theophilous.

According to him, all he heard was Kontihene shouting ?bring me the tape, give me the recorder?. The Akatesia type of punches never failed to land on Theo?s face even though he tried blocking them the Mike Tyson way. He was finally asked to get out of the Hush Hush studios to save him from those heavy migizigi punches.

According to eye witness account, the hiplife star took the recorder and destroyed it completely with the zeal of an angry tiger. Kontihene threw, knocked and kicked the recorder as though his problem was not with the reporter but the recorder.

Kontihene according to sources strongly suspected Theo was recording without his consent but the X-Ghana Billboard reporter firmly denied that and, claimed he was only asking for his opinion on the migizigi bit of Kwaw Kese?s ?Oye Nonsense?.

Kontihene was recording his new album, ?Awia? at the Hush Hush studios when the incident took place. His new album with a marvelous video clip is set to take the entire nation by storm as its air play rate keeps rising by the day. Several attempts were made at getting him to directly react to this story but none went through with concrete results. Even when he granted Ghana Billboard, a Celebrity Diary interview, he fiercely refused to comment on this particular issue.

According to Mr. Kpeli, he lodged a formal complaint with the Kaneshie Police Station a day after the incident took place. His mother and aunty took care of all the medical expenses thereafter. It's is yet to be known what further action Theophilous Kpeli took but indications show that the young man is still pretty bitter about his physical confrontation with Kontihene.
