Kontihene is back with “Esum”

Nana “Kontihene” Appiah seemed to have relapsed from active singing for sometime now. The Asesa music king has been studying Business Administration and Commercial Law at the Hampton University, Virginia in the US.

Kontihene’s virtuosity couldn’t keep him away from what he loves doing best. His latest album dubbed “Esum” is all ready and set to receive appreciable air play this week.

“The album will be out this week but even if it tarries by next week you will hear it all” he declared. This time around, Kontihene has creatively harmonized powerful reflections on Mother Nature. The 10-track album features hits as “Nyankonton” (rainbow), “Awia” (sun), and “Ensroma” (star) among others.

The Mege segee singer, who is left with a year to complete his Bachelor’s degree, has deferred his studies at the Hampton University to allow him get to his fans once more.

Perhaps, it might have taken a while for us to listen to fresh sounds from our very dear one but he admits “I’m always ready. I only count on my manager to get the right signal before I come out.”

Together with manager Edgar Asamoah, Kontihene has been recording “Esum” at Royal Family Entertainment for the past four months. After completing his course back in the States, what is he going to do with the degree?

He says “Life goes on” with the bachelor’s degree. Watch out for the “Esi” and “Aketasia” songster.
