Thousands of youth from Akuapem Mamfe and its surrounding towns in the Eastern region were treated with electrifying performances by Ghana’s finest Highlife-Afrobeat singers – Kuami Eugene and Kidi.

Eugene Kwame Marfo with stage name Kuami Eugene and Dennis Nana Dwamena also known by stage name KiDi were the headliners of the street event- Artiste Night held Wednesday August 14, 2019 under the auspices of the National Youth Authority as part of activities to commemorate this year’s International Youth Day marked globally on August 12, 2019.

The show was warmed up with performances from young talented local underground artistes in the Akuapem Area and its surrounding communities.

The ‘Chochomucho’ hitmaker, Bless ignited the Show with a scintillating performance thrilling music lovers with old songs and the latest single -Moonlight which he says is prelude to his maiden fourteen track album to be released.

The atmosphere went agog when the master of ceremony of the event, Micky Darling -a Radio Presenter also Apesemankehene of the host community introduced Kuami Eugene and subsequently Kidi.

Both Musicians once again performed beyond expectation as they served the enthusiastic music lovers and fans with back to back dose of their hit songs which kept the fans screaming and cheering after every song dropped as they loudly sang along with exciting gestures and dance moves as some attempted to jump onto the stage to touch the Music stars out of excessive excitement.

In an interview with Bless and Kumi Eugene after their Performances, both advised the youth to develop their God-given talents and persevere for there is light at the end of the tunnel.

They also advised the youth to desist from engaging in “negative things” that will ruin their lives and affect the development of the country.

Bright Acheampong, Deputy CEO of National Youth Authority, reiterated the commitment of the Authority to helping the youth harness their God given talents to support in the nation-building and Ghana Beyond Aid agenda.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo led Government is so much committed to the development of the youth hence making the right investments in education and other sectors all aimed at empowering the youth of the country.

Ghana’s celebration of the International Youth Day under the theme; ‘The Road to 2030; Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production and Consumption” was largely marked with lots of activities in parts of the Eastern Region.
