Ghanaian musician, Barima Sidney has expressed his views on the country's past presidents and their governance.

According to him, he holds the late former President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills in high regard for his leadership style during his brief tenure.

The 'Papa No' hitmaker lamented that if Atta-Mills had lived longer, his policies could have significantly benefited the nation.

In a conversation with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Sidney also praised former President John Agyekum Kufuor's leadership.

He also noted that the absence of a national development plan is a major factor in the challenges faced by Ghana's political leadership.

"Leaders who perform well are admirable, like Prof. Atta Mills, whose tenure was cut short. I wish he had more time; his brief stint showed promise, and his policies seemed poised to improve things.

"The lack of a National development plan is a significant hurdle, as it would have driven presidents to advance the country. Another leader I respect is Kufuor, for his time as president," he said.

He made the comment when discussing the impact of leaders in the country amid the difficulties the nation is grappling with.
