Kumawood stars attacked after campaign launch

Kumawood moviemakers Tracey Boakye, Sylvester Agypong aka Sly and Asare Bediako who have publicly endorsed the candidature of president John Dramani Mahama ahead of this year’s polls have been attacked by unknown persons.

The three actors in an interview with Zionfelix.net Monday, October 17 narrated their ordeal which happened on Sunday, October 16 in Kumasi after the National Democratic Congress launched its campaign in Kumasi on Saturday, October 15

Actor cum movie director Asare Bediako told Zionfelix.net that the unknown persons called him for job but after minutes of talking to them on phone, he realised that they had bad intentions so he left home to his grandmother’s house at Suame in Kumasi. Mr. Bediako who was talking to Zionfelix.net from Suame also disclosed that the people who contacted him went to his house hours after he had left due to his failure to meet them.

The matter he said has been reported to police.

Sylvester Agyapong popularly known as Sly also revealed when talking to Zionfelix.net that they chased him on his way home on Sunday so he had to stop at a police barrier to save his life.

Kumawood actress and movie producer Tracey Boakye also giving account of what happened to her on Sunday said they visited her at home. Tracey who run to lodge at a hotel when they entered her house could not fathom how they located the house because she just moved in so few people know where she stays. She added that police went to the house on Sunday so she will be at Central Police Station in Kumasi at noon for the report.
