The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries International, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has strongly criticized Angel FM’s Broadcast Journalist, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, for hurling insults at men of God who prayed for John Mahama ahead of the elections.

In a widely circulated video, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah is seen criticizing pastors, including Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, Rev. Obofour, and other clergy members who were present at a meeting with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer. He alleged that the clerics were there for political reasons.

Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah also used unprintable language in reference to Reverend Owusu-Bempah, claiming he once encountered him in a hotel with a woman.

Reacting to these insults, Prophet Kumchacha accused the media personality of abusing his position as an on-air figure to defame men of God.

Kumchacha further expressed disbelief in the claims about Owusu-Bempah being at a hotel with a woman.

“Okatakyie Afrifa, I like you, so I won’t attack you. Let me explain this to you. There’s nothing wrong with a man of God who used to support one party switching to another. It happens everywhere. Okatakyie, you used to support the NDC but later switched to the NPP because you felt it didn’t benefit you.

"You had no right to insult Reverend Owusu-Bempah. You had no right to label him as fake or accuse him of frequently changing women like some pastors in Ghana. You defamed the man of God.

"Even if he went to a hotel, hotels serve various purposes, including meetings, or having lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant. Therefore, the media personality’s claim was false,” he advised.

Kumchacha further cautioned Okatakyie Afrifa to be mindful of how he abuses his position as an on-air personality.
