The major characters of Indian television series Kumkum Bhagya, have demonstrated their love for the Ghanaian local language, Twi by making an efforts to recite few words.
The stars who touched down on Friday afternoon for a live shows in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale stadia over the weekend said they would have loved to act in local Ghanaian language if they could speak.
In their first interview which went live on Adom TV from the Golden Tulip hotel, the Indian stars decided to rehearse some few words in Twi as a means of embracing the Ghanaian culture. Abhi, the lead character made an attempt of getting some few Twi words right and was followed by Aliya.
The Kumkum Bhagya Indian series has been forced down the throats of Ghanaians by local television station Adom TV, with some critics calling on government to sanitize the industry.
Some Ghanaian stakeholders including Kumawood movie producers in few months ago demonstrated against the invasion of foreign TV series over the Ghanaian culture.
However, the government of Ghana is yet to take any punitive actions to sanitize the movie industry.
