Kwame Adinkra joining atinka 104.7 fm?

Angel FM’s Kwame Adinkra, may join Atinka 104.7 FM, a source familiar with the arrangement has told enewsgh.com.

Barring any last-minute change of mind, he is set to join the station, we’ve been told.

Adinkra, who for years has become the Ashanti Region’s most popular voice on morning radio, is moving to the nation’s capital to be part of what looks like an exciting project.

Atinka FM is the latest addition to urban radio. It is currently operating as Sena Radio, but will rebrand in the coming days.

Owned by Samuel Amo Tobin of local pharmaceutical giants ,Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, they will compete in the Twi-speaking mass market demographic.

The station has already acquired the services of Kofi Asare Brako, who has since left Asempa FM.

enewsgh.com is told some more names will join the station in what managers hope will be a quick rebranding of the 104.7 frequency.

Sources tell this website the initial investment is huge. “Guys like Kwame don’t come cheap so you can understand why this is a serious project. He is about one of the few highest paid guys around,” our source tells us.

Samuel Tobin owns a number of business interests including Priority Insurance and Abii National Savings and Loans.
