Contemporary highlife artiste Ofori topped the field for the 7th annual Ghana Music Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday with 6 awards. Before the big event on Saturday, he had already won the Music Producer of the year award at the Industry Award ceremony, which took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel.
His hit album ?Otoolege? was up for the Album of the year and Contemporary Highlife album of the Year with the hit song ?Otoolege? winning the Contemporary Highlife Song of the Year.
He was again honoured the best Contemporary Highlife Artiste of the Year and best Artiste of the Year. To crown it all, he won the Most Popular Song of the Year award with his chart-busting song ?Otoolege?. No wonder local charts saw him claim the top spot. Ooh, that?s his other name too, Mr ?All For Real? folks.
He has finished with his new project, which is going to be bigger than ?Otoolege?. He has indeed made the world go round with the amazing things he does and has had the world at his feet since the release of his mega album ?Otoolege?.
I will not be surprised if his song is being used as a ring-tone by some cell phone networks.
