Veteran journalist and host of the entertainment review show on Peace FM, Kwasi Aboagye, has cautioned Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, against sharing money to his fans on the street.

In his opening statement on the Entertainment Review show, Kwasi Aboagye singled out Stonebwoy and advised him against the practice of giving money to fans on the street.

According to him, such actions could pose risks to both the artiste and their fans.

“I don’t want to begin today’s show with music, I want to start by advising, Stonebwoy. Stonebwoy, I am sure you know we love you and your music, recently one other singer was found sharing money on the streets and I warned against that because such acts can bring us bad news.

“I don’t want that unfortunate thing to happen before we start cautioning against it. I think maybe Stonebwoy has been introduced to doing that, recently he was on his way to Akropong after his graduation and he was taped sharing money to fans on the road. I am warning against it because it can lead to road accident, and many people can die from it.”

The veteran journalist also expressed disappointment in some members of the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Police Service who were seen accepting money from Stonebwoy while stretching their hands and heads out of their buses.

“What disturbs me the most is the men from the Ghana Armed Forces and the police, who acted in an indiscipline manner. They are the reason most people no longer respect officers of both security institutions,” he said

He then called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah to put his men who acted that way in check.

He said, “Has the CDS seen the videos, or do I have to officially submit them to him? So that they speak and put those soldiers in check. It is a shame.”
