Controversial Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Botway, popularly known as Kwaw Kese has openly lambasted some top executives of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
According to Kwaw, the leadership of the MUSIGA have succeeded in sidelining musicians from major activities of the union including the Presidential Grand Ball, which was held over the weekend at the Banquette Hall in Accra.
The rapper who was clearly peeved about the move in a twitter comment branded MUSIGA executives as ‘thieves’.
Kwaw Kese in his comments lamented that, musicians who are major stakeholders were not invited to the 2017 Presidential Ball fund raising dinner. “Musigha or whatever they call it is the most corrupt institution in Ghana. How can you have a musicians’ grand ball and not invite musicians.
Sad that the president @NAkufoAddo was present in the midst of these thief’s #MusigaGrandBall2017,” Zionfelix.net report quoted Kwaw Kese.
The Ghanaian rapper expressed worry about how President Akufo-Addo managed to find himself among ‘MUSIGA thieves’ under the leadership of Bice Osei-Obour, aka Obour Kwaw in his argument questioned that he wonders how footballers will organize an event and manage to invite market women to attend, which is the case of MUSIGA.
MUSIGA on Friday held its annual Presidential Grand Ball but invited some few Ghanaian legendary musicians including; Daddy Lumba, Nana Kwame Ampadu, A.B Crentsil, Becca and hosts of others.
