Kwaw Kese excited over Government's release of 23 remand prisoners

Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese, has expressed joy over the release of some inmates of the Nsawam Prisons.

On Friday March 27, some 23 inmates with the help of some human rights lawyers, DFID, and the Government walked home free from the Nsawam Prisons after spending years on remand.

Commending the players involved in attaining justice for the inmates, ‘Abodam’ who recently spent one month behind bars after being arrested for allegedly smoking marijuana in public, told his fans on social media he was happy they made it out.

Kwaw Kese who now calls himself ‘KING OF THE PRISONS’ wrote;

My People all over the prisons of Ghana and I wish to thank the Government, the Judicial Service, DFID and all Stake Holders for the release of more remand prisoners.

It is certainly in the right direction since a lot of them have been waiting in years to go to trial or simply do not deserve to be there.

I will also want to encourage the above stated Institutions to do more to help decongest the Ghana prisons since a lot of talent are being put to waste.

My team and I are coming up with various projects geared at developing the various prisons.

We also thank the people of Ghana for showing concern since nobody knows when that day will come for him or her to be there.

Being convicted or jailed is something one cannot easily forget. Thank you.
